Terms and conditions of acceptance

'partner organisation' refers to any business, local authority or service provider offering a discount under the Gold Card scheme.

'the council' is Derbyshire County Council and its representatives.

'the scheme' refers to the Gold Card travel and discount scheme for older and disabled people.

We accept discounts offered by partner organisations to Gold cardholders subject to the following terms and conditions:

The council will take every care to ensure that information provided to them by partner organisations is accurately publicised. However, the council cannot accept any liability for error or omission.
The council reserves the right not to accept potential partner organisations or types of discounts.
The council reserves the right to remove a partner organisation from the scheme at any time with immediate effect.
Data protection: details supplied by partner organisations will be stored on computer and used solely for Gold Card purposes.
Partner organisations may withdraw from the scheme or alter the details if their discount at any time. Following receipt of confirmation in writing, the council undertakes to withdraw/alter a discount listing on the website within 48 hours and to remove/alter it in printed literature at the normal time within the print becomes due for renewal.
The council will assume that the partner organisation wishes to continue indefinitely to offer the same discount under the scheme until it is notified in writing to the contrary.
The council reserves the right to cease to operate the scheme by giving 1 month notice to partner organisations.
