South Derbyshire area Gold Card application

How to apply for a Gold Card if you live in South East Derbyshire.

1. Applying in person at a free photography session

If you live in South Derbyshire you can apply in person by visiting your local council office at the following times. You do not need to bring a photograph and no appointment is needed.

Swadlincote, Civic Offices, Civic Way - Mon, Tues and Thurs 8.45am to 5pm, Wednesday 9.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.45am to 4.30pm.

Free photography sessions

You can have your photograph taken and your card issued at the Civic Offices, Swadlincote Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri 8.45am to 5pm, Wednesday 9.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.45am to 4.30pm. No appointment is needed.

2. Applying at a Post Office      

You can also apply in person with your own photograph at the following post offices:

Aston-upon-Trent, Castle Gresley, Etwall, Findern, Hatton, Hilton, Linton, Melbourne, Netherseal, Newhall, Overseal, Repton, Rosliston, Shardlow, Sinfin Centre, Walton-on-Trent, Willington and Woodville.

Please remember that you will need to bring along a completed application form, a passport-sized photograph and your proof documents. When you apply you will be told how long your card will take and whether it will be posted to you or when it will be available to collect.

3. Applying by post       

You can also apply for a Gold Card by sending your completed application form (which you can download from the more information section below) with photocopies of your proof documents and a passport size photograph to:
