Q Can't you do anything about the way Estate Agents describe properties?
A Yes we can. If you are an estate agent or property developer, the 'Property Misdescriptions Act' states that you do not falsely describe property.
Businesses that do this not only mislead, but might also gain business at the expense of those who tell the truth.
As well as dealing with the obvious factors such as room sizes and fittings, the Act also requires accuracy in other detail such as school catchment area and council tax band.
