Ilkeston Stroke Club (opens in a new window)
Job: Volunteer General Secretary.
Description: The Ilkeston Stroke Club needs a general secretary to join the committee in running the club. The club meets fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons. The committee meetings are every four weeks. All meetings are relaxed, informal and friendly.
Activities include exercise, games, quizzes, raffles and refreshments. Occasional invited guests and friends help us to include short talks, demonstrations and musical entertainment. Also there are celebration teas, a Christmas Party and an Annual General Meeting. Outings are made to social lunches and to visitor attractions.
Our meetings are held fortnightly on Wednesdays from 1.45pm - 4.15pm in the Flamsteed Centre on Albert Street, Ilkeston. It has level access and disabled toilet facilities. There is a car park, and more parking is available opposite.
