About the directory
Since beginning the directory, our main aims have been:
- To give you easy access to information about not-for-profit services, organisations, societies and voluntary groups across the county and further a field.
- To promote and support community organisations by helping them find new volunteers and members and giving them a platform to promote their jobs and events
We will continuously add new organisations and services to the directory and will update the information provided in the listings regularly to ensure all details remain correct.
Organisations that can and can’t be listed in the directory
To be included in the directory, organisations, societies, voluntary groups and not-for-profit services must operate solely or entirely in Derbyshire.
In some cases, a national or regional number or website may be listed where no local contact is given.
Organisations that only carry out their activities outside of Derbyshire or solely within the Derby City area are not eligible to be included. Please visit the Derby City Council (opens in a new window) website for information about their services for clubs and voluntary groups.
Commercial businesses or profit-making organisations are also not able to be listed in the directory.
