Register Office weddings

Our Registrars are there to help and guide you before and during your special day. 

It is important to contact the register office of your choice as soon as you have decided on a date to avoid disappointment. Staff at the register office will make a provisional booking and discuss the legal requirements that must be complied with before you can marry. Ashbourne's register office, within the Town Hall, is an elegant Victorian building offering a graceful backdrop to special occasions. There are two marriage rooms offering space for up to 35 or 150 people.

The historic market town of Bakewell has two marriage rooms within the Town Hall, situated close to the River Wye and an adjacent park. The light and airy rooms cater for parties of up to 25 or 40 people.

Located in the heart of the historic market town of Chesterfield, the register office enjoys a central and convenient location, enhanced by a private rear garden that is ideal for photographs. 
On site parking is available on Saturdays, with limited availability on weekdays. There is a large multi-story car park adjacent to the office.

South Derbyshire: 
Wedding services are not conducted at the Swadlincote register office. However, couples living in South Derbyshire should give notice of their forthcoming marriage at the Derby Register Office, Royal Oak House, Market Place, Derby Tel: 01332 716020.
