What is Blueprint?
Blueprint is a Government programme designed to help develop drug education in England. Its long-term goal is to reduce the number of people who become involved in drugs of all kinds including solvents, alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs.
The programme was set up to look at the most effective ways of educating 11 to 13 year olds about drugs.
Derbyshire is one of four local education authority areas piloting the programme.
Derbyshire's Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) was given £50,000 to support work to reduce underage sales across the county as part of the programme.
This funding has been split between Trading Standards and Derbyshire Police to help prevent underage sales.
Blueprint is also being run in Derby City, Cheshire and Lancashire.
