North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire European Regional Development Fund (EDRF) axis 2 programme.
The North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire Priority Axis 2 ERDF Programme can support economic development activity in the districts of Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield and Mansfield. £12.9m ERDF grant is available for allocation between 2011 and 2013.
ERDF grant is available to support the priorities outlined in the North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire Local Investment Plan, which are to:
- Stimulate and support new markets and enterprise opportunities
- Develop employment sites and premises
- Provide access to resources and support
- Revive local infrastructure and environments.
Application is by a two-stage application process. The first bidding round for the 2011 − 2013 funding closed on 27 May 2011.

The European Regional Development Fund aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the European Union by supporting regional economic development.
The total ERDF programme in the East Midlands is worth around £200m in ERDF grant, which when combined with match funding, provides a programme value of approximately £400m − a significant investment in the economic development of the region.
