Focusing Creativity - free Business Support for Creative Minds.

Focusing Creativity is a free business support programme offering a series of five jargon free workshops (opens in a new window), specialist mentoring and grant assistance. This is delivered by Derbyshire County Council in partnership with the Derbyshire Enterprise Agency.
The purpose of the programme is to enable you to achieve balance of being creative with running a business. From Web Design to Visual Art, Advertising to Music, if you are creative we want to hear from you.
This support will continue to run throughout many areas of Derby and Derbyshire up to January 2008 with the next programme starting on Tuesday 4 September 2007. All support is delivered by arts and creative industry specialists.

Derbyshire County Council Creative Industry Database
We are developing a comprehensive database of creative practitioners and enterprises, shared with partners who will offer support. This includes networking opportunities and events, business support, grant funding and many other opportunities.

Making Connections was commissioned by us with support from EMDA, DCBL and the Arts Council of England East Midlands to provide a report on the workspace and support infrastructure requirements for the creative industries across Derbyshire.
