The About Your Area section of our website gives you information local to either a specific property or to one of the many towns in Derbyshire.

We’ve chosen a range of facilities, services and contacts which we hope you’ll find useful.

Search by postcode

A postcode search will give you very specific information about the local area, such as who the county councillor is, which planning authority the property is in and the ten nearest facilities and services. You may also see links to other information, such as doctors, dentists and post offices.

Step 1: Enter a postcode on the homepage.

Please try to enter a full rather than a partial postcode (eg enter DE4 3AG rather than just DE4). Typically, a full postcode search will return between 1 and 40 properties, but a partial postcode search will return numerous addresses.

Step 2: Click on GO

Step 3: Select a property from the list of addresses

Step 4: Information about local facilities, services and contacts will be shown. You can click on the “more>>>” links to view maps and find out further information.

Search by town

Searching by town will give you general information about the services and facilities in the chosen town.

Step 1: Select a town from the dropdown list on the homepage

Step 2: Click on GO

Step 3: Information about local facilities and services will be shown. You can click on the “more>>>” links to view maps and find out further information.
