What can Contract Foster Carers expect?

The Contract Care Scheme enjoys all the benefits of mainstream fostering plus additional support.

  • payment of a generous fee, when a young person is in placement plus the fostering allowances applicable to the young person's age.

  • support and supervision from the Contract Care Team

  • out of hours support evening and weekends from the Contract Care Team.

  • monthly support groups with other Contract Carers.

  • paid breaks up to 24 days a year.

  • ongoing training and the opportunity to enrol on the NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care course after being approved as a carer for two years.
