Adopted people

Adopted people can access their birth records via Derbyshire County Council Social Services Department. 

If this affects you then you can contact the:

Your records will be sent to Social Services Headquarters at County Hall, Matlock, and will be allocated to a social worker.  

You will be contacted to make an appointment at one of the Adoption Surgeries held once a month at Ripley, Chesterfield and Buxton.  

The social worker will share your birth information with you and give you further advice if you want it.
