Substance use - advice and information

We provide a number of services to support people who misuse drugs and also fund a range of services provided by the voluntary and private sector.

These services include:

residential rehabilitation
support for carers
support in peoples own homes.

The main treatment and rehabilitation services for substance misusers are not provided directly by us, but from the local health service and independent sector.

To gain access to these treatment services you will need to see your GP who is able to make a referral to the specialist services. Once in contact with these services they will assess your needs and make arrangements for the services that you need.

This assessment will include looking at your health and social care needs and wider support needs including housing and income.
