Accreditation is concerned with the organisations that provide services and is not directly concerned with the quality of service delivery.
Criterion One - Financial Viability
Providers are expected to evidence that they are aware of the potential risks faced by their business (services) and are taking suitable measures to minimise, plan for and mitigate the effects of these risks.
Criterion Two - Competent Administrative Procedures
Providers are required to have competent administrative procedures that are able to properly handle and account for payments made under contract by Derbyshire County Council including Supporting People grant.
Criterion Three - Effective Employment Policies
Providers are required to have effective employment policies to cover staff development, staff supervision and the health and safety of both staff and service users.
Criterion Four - Robust Management Procedures
Providers are required to have sufficiently robust management procedures to provide services on behalf of Derbyshire County Council.
Criterion Five - Competence/Track Record
The Proprietor and Manager identified will be interviewed to confirm that they are fit people to provide services on behalf of Derbyshire County Council.
