Day care services standards
Derbyshire County Council Quality Standards for Day Care.
- As a service user of Derbyshire County Council, you will have a comprehensive Personal Service Plan, which will include services from other agencies where appropriate, taking into consideration, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs. It will record how your needs are to be met, and by whom, and will be reviewed with you on a regular basis.
- All the care we deliver to you will be provided by staff with the skills to communicate and relate to you, and who are competent to meet your specific or changing needs. This will include Health Care Staff, voluntary staff and other agencies where appropriate.
- We will involve you and anyone who cares for you, in the regular assessment and review of your needs and wishes, ensuring that all aspects of your care are taken into consideration.
- Following an assessment of your needs, opportunities will be provided where possible for you to engage in a range of activities of your choice. This may include activities both on the premises and within the community.
- Our staff will treat you with respect, and promote choice, privacy, dignity and independence at all times.
- We will aim to make sure the services reach people who need them most, at the time they need them.
- We will consult with you where appropriate, through regular surveys and consultation meetings regarding the running and planning of our services.
- We will aim to increase confidence in our services among ethnic minority communities and ensure our services will be culturally appropriate.
- We will respond promptly to all telephone calls, emails, letters, faxes and visits.
- Managers and staff will monitor the standard of these services regularly.
"Our goal is to have a safe and stimulating environment in which our service users, their carers, the public and staff, can have confidence in ensuring the quality of life of older people"
