Members of Derbyshire Learning Disability Partnership Board

The Derbyshire Learning Disability Partnership Board meets every two months.

Following re-organisation within Derbyshire, membership of the partnership board is strong.

Approximately 40 to 50 people attend and contribute to the work of the board both within the meeting and outside.

The way the board works is reviewed annually.

Local Partnership Boards are working across the six areas of Derbyshire.

Their membership has widened to include:

  • key local people

  • representatives of important local organisations

  • elected representatives of people with learning disabilities

  • elected family carers.

This promotes and strengthens inclusion locally.

It means that the partnership board has a co-ordinating role. The board shares and distributes information. It also receives a lot of valuable feedback as well.

Local Partnership Boards also regularly review the way they work.
