Family carers

We work with the Derbyshire Carers Association to provide a Network Co-ordinator to work with and support elected family carers.
The aim is to help family carers fully and effectively participate in their Local Partnership Board activities.

Over the last four years we have organised Family Carers Celebration Days. Hosted by the Cabinet Member for social care these have celebrated the contribution and important role family carers make as “essential partners” to the lives and opportunities of people with a learning disability in Derbyshire.
