Social care & health
Elected by people with learning disabilities, each Local Partnership Board has four self-advocates (people with a learning disability). They represent people with learning disabilities within their area.
We work together with Macintyre funding the Reps on Board project. This project provides the training and personal development for elected reps. The aim is to help self-advocates develop their personal skills and confidence.
This ensures the voice of people with learning disabilities is strengthened and people with a learning disability are fully included in their Local Partnership Boards activities.
Top tips for even better partnership boards
This toolkit has been put together by elected reps from partnership boards across Derbyshire.
It aims to help partnership boards, and other people who hold meetings, to look at ways of making their meetings more inclusive.
The toolkit is useful for anyone who wants to make their meetings easier for everyone to join in.
