The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) process

The process begins with the systematic gathering of all the data and information that is known and held about Derbyshire’s population, in terms of health, and wellbeing.

By comparing Derbyshire’s districts and communities with regional and national rates, we can identify priority issues.

These identified priorities will then be communicated to Derbyshire’s people who will provide their own views as to what ought to be done.

Our JSNA is not a once and for all occurrence but a cycle. We will ensure that each year’s update will provide a better and more enlightening picture as data and information sources are refined and improved.

You can view and/or download a visual representation of our JSNA process from the more information section.
