Service quality
Adult Care seeks excellence in services delivered in-house or commissioned.The Care Quality Commission inspects registered care homes and home care providers. The frequency of inspections varies, with higher performing services tending to receive visits less frequently.
We have adopted several quality frameworks in order to regularly test performance and to act as a driver for continuous improvement.
We have been a holder of the Investors in People (IiP) award for several years. IiP focuses on how well staff are trained, involved and the quality of leadership.
ISO 9001 is presently our main quality control for Adult Care. It is a holistic model which involves regular auditing to test the question 'do we do what we say we do?'
Older Peoples Day Services are current holders of the Customer Service Excellence award. This focuses on achieving excellent outcomes for customers.
We work alongside colleagues from Derbyshire NHS and the voluntary sector in a Joint Quality Management Group. The purpose is to work with independent sector providers to improve the quality of commissioned services.
