Forums and partnerships

forums and partnerships

There are a number of community and voluntary groups you can get involved with locally and where you can meet others. Information about these groups can be found in the Derbyshire Directory.

There is also a range of forums where you can discuss important issues and have your say on local services:

  • 50+ Forums
There are fifteen 50+ Forums across Derbyshire with over 3,400 members. They meet regularly to discuss important issues, work with organisations to make improvements to services and facilities and have lots of fun too.

  • LINk
LINk is the Derbyshire Local Involvement Network which enables individuals and communities to engage with health and social care organisations.
The Derbyshire LINk  (opens in a new window) website will provide you with further information.

  • Carers Voice

  • Derbyshire Carers Association (opens in a new window) are operating a scheme offering carers the chance to voice their needs and views. Participants can help develop and influence carers services. Meetings are bi-monthly in local areas. Information will then inform our commissioning boards. Full training and on-going support is given to members. For further information and contact details for an application pack, visit our Caring for Someone section.

  • Learning Disability Partnership Forum
Responsible for organising the Derbyshire Learning Disabilities Partnership Board and the six Local Partnership Boards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement Board
Members of the Stakeholder Engagement Board represent a wide range of views including the views of service users, citizen leaders, representatives from the voluntary and independent sector, user led organisations, staff and Derbyshire residents who do not presently use adult care services.

They discuss and help shape existing services and facilities commissioned by Derbyshire Adult Care.

  • Black and Minority Ethnic Forums
Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Forums support the development of an infrastructure that will enable BME community groups to be actively engaged with us and provide feedback on policy and service developments.

  • Community Forums
Geographical communities are represented through local community forums, which cover a range of community areas within Derbyshire.
